Light and Color

The subject of this assignment was both light and color. We were to think about color theory and color harmony. Scenes with analogous colors, monochromatic colors, and warm vs. cool color schemes were suggested.
Light is the essence of photography, and we were assigned to explore the different qualities and directions of light, to discover various moods and depictions of each image.
The above 8 images were my finals for assignment #4.

Depth of Field

The idea of the assignment was to explore shallow and great depth of field. Through the use of focus, we were to use shallow depth of field in the foreground and in the background, as well as great depth of field.
The above 8 images were my finals for assignment #3.

Frozen motion

In this second assignment, shutter speeds were manipulated in order to capture motion in a variety of ways. Fast shutter speeds freeze motion while slower shutter speeds display a blur of motion.

The above 8 images were my finals for assignment #2.

Shape/Form Composition

The subject of this first assignment was photographic composition, with an emphasis on shape and form. We were to be aware of positive and negative space and subtle movements of the camera, as well as how each affects the composition of an image.
The above 6 photos were the finals from assignment #1.
